Peter J. Latz - Principal
Peter concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, estate administration and real estate. In addition to representing individuals and their families, Peter represents many financial institutions in their capacity as trustee and executor and handles all aspects of trust and estate administration.
Prior to forming his own law firm in 1989, Peter worked at The First National Bank of Chicago (now JP Morgan Chase) in the fiduciary tax department and estate settlement division. Peter also worked as a trust officer at First United Trust Company where he was the tax coordinator and was responsible for collecting, investing and distributing trust and estate assets. Peter is a former instructor at the American Institute of Banking. Peter was Chairman of the Board for Midwest Eye Banks; a Board Member of the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness; and Chairman of the Board for the Illinois Eye Bank. Peter received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DePaul University and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School. Peter has been a guest lecturer at The John Marshall Law School Center for Tax Law and is a former Trustee on The John Marshall Law School Board of Trustees.
